    • Fly into Athens International Airport

    • Taxi or Uber to Piraeus Port (~50 minutes) - €50

    • Ferry to Spetses with Alpha Lines or Hellenic Seaways (Gate E8)

    • Travel time: 1.5–2 hours

    2. Car or Transfer + Sea Taxi

    • Drive or arrange a transfer from Athens Airport to Costa Port (~3 hours)

    • Take a 5–10 minute sea taxi to Spetses

    3. Car Rental + Sea Taxi

    • Rent a car in Athens, drive down to the coast and park it in Costa (≈ 5 EUR/day)

    • Sea taxis run 24/7 — 30 EUR

    • Public ferries also run from Costa (Spetses Express or local ferry); schedules are available here

  • Yes. Spetses is largely car-free, which is part of its charm. Most movement around the island is done on foot or by renting a scooter, (e-)bike, quad, tricycle, or golf cart. There are a few taxis.

  • The main options are:

    • Walking (ideal if you’re staying near the Old Harbour)

    • Renting a scooter, e-bike, quad, e-tricycle, or golf cart

    • Taxis or horse-drawn carriages (limited availability)

    If you’re not comfortable driving scooters or quads, accessing more remote beaches or venues can be more challenging. In that case, we recommend staying centrally or pre-booking taxis via your hotel.

  • Yes, but they are limited and should be booked in advance when possible. Your hotel can help arrange taxis. Keep in mind that availability can be tight during peak hours and in the evenings.

  • If possible, stay near the Old Harbour, where most restaurants, bars, and evening activities are within walking distance. This will make evenings much easier if you prefer not to drive.

  • Yes - Spetses is very kid-friendly, but it does require a bit of planning. With cobblestones, no cars, and limited taxis, getting around with strollers or babies can take some extra effort. Staying closer to the main venues (Old Harbour) and arranging transport through your hotel makes things much easier.
